(Dar Baraka project for the elderly) is an event with the participation of government and private institutions in Seeb.

The Health Committee of Al-Seeb Governorate, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Health Services in Muscat Governorate, the Office of Al-Seeb Governor, a number of government and private institutions, and civil society associations, organized on Monday a ceremony to launch a project entitled "Barakat Al-Dar for the Elderly". The event included a heritage exhibition that contained a number of wings and sections, including diabetes and blood pressure tests, physical therapy, weight and height measurements, handicrafts, traditional palm leaf products, clothing, accessories, Omani cuisine, and traditional Omani games.
The Health Committee in the Wilayat of Seeb, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Health Services in the Governorate of Muscat, the Office of the Wali of Seeb, and a number of government, private institutions, and civil society associations, held on Monday a ceremony to launch a project entitled "Barkat Al-Dar.. for the elderly". The event included a heritage exhibition that contained a number of wings and corners, including diabetes and blood pressure tests, physical therapy, weight and height measurements, traditional crafts, palm leaf weaving, clothing, accessories, Omani cuisine, and Omani popular games.
Dr. Samira Bint Musa Bin Saleh Al-Maimani, the administrative and technical supervisor of the General Directorate of Health Services in the Governorate of Muscat, and the committee`s chairman in the Wilayat, said that the aim of this health event is to intensify care and attention to the elderly, our beloved parents, and to make more efforts and harness all resources regarding the services provided to this dear group.
The event also included two lectures on the most important programs and services provided by the Ministry of Health, as well as charitable associations and volunteer teams dedicated to the elderly, continuously presented by Dr. Nihal Afifi, Head of the School Health Department and Responsible for the Care of the Elderly in the Directorate, and Joukha Bint Mohammed Al-Farsiya, Head of the Ehsan Association.
The inauguration ceremony and the three-day event were sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Ibrahim bin Yahya Al-Rawahy, the Governor of Al-Seeb, in the presence of Sheikh Tariq bin Khaled Al-Hinai, the Deputy Governor of Al-Seeb, and a number of members of the Shura Council representing the Al-Seeb Governorate, as well as the Sheikhs of the governorate.
