Welcome

It is the capital of the Sultanate of Oman and the jewel of its cities, and it is a historic city that played an important role in various historical eras as an important commercial center that helped to stimulate commercial activity in the Gulf and the Indian Ocean region thanks to its strategic location. The Muscat Governorate is located on the Sea of Oman in the southern part of the Batinah coast and is connected to the east by the Eastern Hajar Mountains and the governorates of South and North Sharqiyah, to the west by the South Batinah Governorate, and to the south by the Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate. Its important geographical and strategic location has also enabled it to be the political, economic and administrative center of the country in the prosperous era of the founder of modern Oman, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said - may God rest his soul.
