The Office of the Wali of Al-Amirat discusses the community initiative to plant trees in the governorate.

Today, Thursday, His Excellency Mohammed bin Hameed bin Mohammed Al-Ghabshi, the Governor of Al-Amrat, chaired a meeting to discuss the community initiative to plant trees in the state, which is being implemented by several entities represented by the Muscat Municipality, the Environment Authority,Oman Water & Wastewater Services Company, Al-Amrat Charity Team, and the Omani Sidr Association. The initiative comes within the framework of the national campaign supervised by the Environment Authority, where the number of trees planted in the state since the launch of the initiative in September of this year was reviewed, which reached 3190 trees.
During the meeting, a number of campaigns were discussed to increase the green areas in the Al-Amrat governorate, including the second phase of the Environment Authority`s campaign to plant trees in the Al-Sareen area, which is scheduled to be implemented in 2023. There was also a discussion of a campaign to distribute seedlings in collaboration with the Wholesale Center, which will be held next week on Saturday, December 31, 2022, as well as a campaign to remove mesquite trees that was adopted by the Al-Amrat Charitable Team and the Omani Sidr Association, which will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2022.
