Wali of Al Amerat Presides over Community Meeting to Introduce the “Light Shines” Initiative

        His Excellency Hamad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Wali of Al Amerat, presided over a community meeting organised by Nama Electricity Supply Company at the headquarters of the Omani Women’s Association in Al Amerat, to introduce the “Light Shines” initiative. This initiative aims to raise awareness among eligible families of electricity services and available payment facilities, as part of efforts to activate the cooperation agreement between the company and the Al Amerat Volunteer Team.

       The meeting highlighted the objectives of the initiative and the mechanisms for benefiting from the available facilities in accordance with the approved regulations. It emphasised the importance of rationalising electricity consumption and adopting daily practices that reduce waste and improve consumption efficiency, thereby supporting families in managing their financial obligations.

        Ahmed bin Said Al Shuaili, Director General of Communications and Marketing at Nama Electricity Supply Company, explained that the “Light Shines” initiative reflects the company’s commitment to reinforcing its partnership with the community and volunteer teams, reaching eligible families and informing them about the services and facilities suited to their circumstances, in accordance with the approved regulations.

     He added that such meetings provide an opportunity for direct communication with families, identifying their needs and raising consciousness of the optimal use of electricity. Thereby boosting social responsibility. 

       The meeting forms part of Nama Electricity Supply Company’s efforts to expand its community initiatives and strengthen cooperation with volunteer teams, through the integration of official and community efforts to support initiatives aimed at serving eligible families and promoting the values of solidarity and social responsibility.
