Memorandum of Understanding Signed to Empower Persons with Disabilities at the Wali of Mutrah Office

The Mutrah Volunteer Team and AWJ Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting efforts to empower and provide vocational training for persons with disabilities, in the presence of His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Saeed Al Maamari, Wali of Mutrah.
The MoU includes training persons with disabilities in a range of skills, professions and jobs suited to their abilities and potential. Thereby enhancing their opportunities to gain appropriate employment, supporting their engagement in the labour market, and enabling them to rely on their capabilities and achieve greater independence.
This initiative comes as part of efforts to reinforce social responsibility and strengthen the integration of roles between the private sector and volunteer teams through practical initiatives that utilise the capabilities of persons with disabilities and expand their opportunities to participate in community development.
