Muscat Governorate and Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre Strengthen Cooperation in Organising Events and Conferences

Muscat Governorate and the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre Management Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, Tuesday, to strengthen partnership in hosting events, conferences and exhibitions, and to utilise the Centre’s facilities and equipment. The partnership contributes to hosting events and exchanging expertise in the event organisation field.

The MoU aims to facilitate organising the Governorate’s programmes and events at the Centre’s facilities, boost coordination between the two sides to attract diverse events, and develop initiatives serving various sectors, particularly the youth sector in Oman.

Fields of cooperation include identifying programmes and activities that can be held at the Centre and benefitting from suitable seasons for organising them during the validity period of the MoU. The partnership will attract local, regional and international conferences, exhibitions and events that align with the partnership’s objectives between the two sides.

The MoU also provides for the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre to offer advice and technical support to the Governorate in organising and delivering events. This will contribute to advancing the skills and enhancing the efficiency of the relevant personnel. Furthermore, exchanging professional experiences and expertise between the two parties.

The signing of the MoU comes as part of the Muscat Governorate’s efforts to expand its partnerships with specialised institutions and benefit from their expertise and capabilities in advancing the events system. Thereby reinforcing organisational capacities and increase opportunities for young people to engage in relevant programmes and initiatives.
