Wali of Al Amerat Discusses Developing the Social and Voluntary Work System

        His Excellency Hamad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Wali of Al Amerat, chaired the second meeting of the Wilayat’s Social Development Committee for 2026. The meeting discussed a number of topics and programmes aimed at developing social and voluntary work, promoting community initiatives, and enhancing the services provided to citizens.

     During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the minutes of its previous meeting and the recommendations that had been implemented. It discussed the formation of the Board of Directors of the Al Amerat Volunteer Team. As well as mechanisms for registering programmes and initiatives on the Jood platform, which would contribute to organising voluntary work, enhancing its efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of its impact.

     The Committee reviewed the report of the Al Amerat Volunteer Team and the latest developments concerning the Oman Women’s Association in Al Amerat. Moreover, it discussed a proposal to improve the administrative performance of the Social Development Centre. Thereby strengthening its role in delivering social programmes and services and improving their quality.

       As part of efforts to enhance coordination and integration in the field of social work, His Excellency the Wali of Al Amerat met with the Director General of Social Development in Muscat Governorate. The meeting addressed a number of matters related to social programmes and services, as well as ways of supporting community and voluntary initiatives and enhancing cooperation in a manner that serves the local community.
