The Wali of Quriyat Office conducted a training workshop on first aid, delivered by specialists from Quriyat Referral Hospital. The workshop was held in the Multi-Purpose Hall at the Wali’s Office, with the participation of numerous Office employees.
The workshop aimed to reinforce employees’ skills in dealing with emergencies and raise their readiness to respond appropriately and promptly in situations requiring first aid, until emergency response teams arrive or the injured person is transferred to the nearest healthcare institution.
Through theoretical sessions and practical exercises, the workshop covered methods of dealing with several cases and injuries that may require urgent medical intervention, including road traffic accidents, strokes, seizures, burns, fractures, sports injuries, slips and pelvic injuries. It also addressed cases involving the amputation of parts of limbs, with training on the proper methods of preserving and transporting the amputated part.
The workshop forms part of the Wali of Quriyat Office’s efforts to develop its employees’ skills, strengthen cooperation and integration with healthcare institutions, and benefit from specialised expertise in promoting health knowledge.
