Meetings to Enhance Cooperation between Walis’ Offices and the Directorate General of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Muscat Governorate

 As part of cooperation and partnership between government institutions, His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Said Al Maamari, Wali of Mutrah, accompanied by the Deputy Wali of Mutrah, received Ahmed bin Nasser Al Harthi, Director General of the Directorate General of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Muscat Governorate, and numerous officials from the Directorate.

     During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Office of the Wali of Mutrah and the Directorate General of Endowments and Religious Affairs on numerous matters related to mosques, zakat, preaching and religious guidance. They reviewed mechanisms for identifying, advancing and investing in endowments, in a manner that maximises their benefits and serves the community.

      His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saeedi, Wali of Muscat, met with the Director General of the Directorate General of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Muscat Governorate. The meeting provided an overview of the Directorate’s responsibilities, duties and work fields, and explored cooperation and coordination between the Directorate and the Office of the Wali of Muscat, contributing to boosting greater integration and advancing joint areas of work.

      The meeting discussed various matters related to endowments in Muscat and ways of reinforcing cooperation and coordination in this regard. Thereby contributing to identifying, developing and investing in endowments and strengthening their role in serving the community.
