       On Friday, the charitable “Obour” initiative will embark on its community journey, with its first stop at Grand Mall Salalah. This initiative, which is supported and sponsored by Muscat Governorate, seeks to introduce an innovative approach to charitable work and raise awareness of the challenges faced by families in need and individuals facing financial hardship. The initiative will later move to Muscat Governorate.

     Muscat Governorate’s sponsorship of this initiative comes as part of its support for youth-led and voluntary initiatives that have a positive social impact, as well as its encouragement of innovative ideas that contribute to promoting solidarity and social responsibility and developing charitable practices. “Obour” offers an interactive experience that takes visitors on a journey simulating the challenges faced by families in need. It aims to bring their reality closer to the community members and raise consciousness of the importance of contributing and donating to create a positive impact on the lives of beneficiaries.

       The initiative seeks to introduce charitable donation as an experience rooted in awareness and a sense of accountability. Besides, enabling young people and higher education students to participate in organising its activities. This will contribute to boosting their skills in voluntary work, leadership and community engagement.

     Salalah marks the starting point of the initiative, after which “Obour” will continue its journey to Muscat Governorate at a later stage. This contributes to broadening the reach of its humanitarian message and engage greater society groups.
