Free Medical Services and Screenings Attract Visitors to Bawshar Health Camp

  As part of the community partnership between the Wali of Bawshar Office and the Royal Badr Al-Sama’a Hospital, a free health camp kicked off yesterday, Wednesday, at the Sheikh Hilal bin Ali Al-Khalili Mosque Majlis. This camp aims to provide various free medical services and consultations to community members, sponsored by Saud bin Humair Al Malik, Deputy Wali of Bawshar.


      The camp offered various free healthcare services and medical consultations across several specialities. They included general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ear, nose and throat (ENT), dentistry, and clinical nutrition, supervised by a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

          Visitors benefited from diverse free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, pulse rate measurement, blood oxygen saturation assessment, and body mass index (BMI) evaluation. These services boost the early detection of potential health conditions, raise awareness of the importance of regular health check-ups, and encourage disease prevention.

      The Deputy Wali stated that the free medical camp witnessed participation from both citizens and residents. Thus reflecting this successful initiative to reach beneficiaries and raise awareness of the importance of preventive healthcare and early screening.

         He noted that the camp highlighted the value of collaboration between government institutions and the private sector in delivering high-quality healthcare services free of charge. It also reinforced social responsibility and supported ongoing efforts to improve public health and quality of life. He emphasised continuing such initiatives and expanding community partnerships. Thereby, this contributes to achieving objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in creating a healthy and sustainable society while enhancing the quality of healthcare services consistent with the comprehensive development aspirations.

          The programme featured a range of accompanying activities and services. They comprised exclusive discounts on medical examinations and entertainment activities for children, such as face painting and colouring, which create an interactive atmosphere that encouraged family participation and enriched visitors` experience.

       The organisation of this health camp forms part of efforts to strengthen community health initiatives and activate partnerships between various entities. Thus supporting the promotion of preventive healthcare and early detection while contributing to enhancing quality of life for all members.
