The Wali of Muscat discusses the latest developments in the National Addressing Project and its completion

His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saidi, Wali of Muscat, held a meeting to follow up on the latest developments regarding the National Addressing Project and its completion stages. The Director of the National Addressing Project, numerous specialists from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, and members of Addressing Committee attended this meeting.
During this meeting, the project’s implementation plan, its various stages progress, and the achievements accomplished during the past period were reviewed, alongside discussing the requirements relating to fulfilling the upcoming stages according to the approved timetable.
Engineer Haitham bin Said Al Badi, Director of the National Addressing Project, emphasised that this project is one of the key national initiatives that contributes to improving the quality of services and boosting efficiency in accessing locations and addresses, through integrating the efforts of relevant entities. Thereby supporting planning and services in Oman.
The participants discussed numerous technical and organisational aspects associated with implementing this project, and mechanisms to ensure its accomplishment. Thereby achieving the specified purposes and reinforcing readiness for the addressing system.
This meeting forms part of national efforts to complete the addressing system in the Sultanate of Oman, following the finalisation and approval of names of neighbourhoods and streets within the Wilayat of Muscat.
