Muscat Governorate Concludes the Second Media Forum for Media Coordinators

      Tomorrow, Thursday, the Muscat Governorate will conclude the activities of the Second Media Forum for Media Coordinators, which continued for three days as part of its efforts to develop the institutional media system and boost the efficiency of media coordinators in the offices of Their Excellencies the Walis. The forum aims to contribute to unifying media messages and strengthening effective communication with various media outlets.



     The first day of the forum, held at the Governorate building in Al Bustan, featured numerous specialised sessions in the institutional media work field. Media professional Khalfan Al Zaidi delivered a session entitled “The News Report”, which addressed the principles of preparing and drafting news reports. Meanwhile, media professional Maryam Al Badi presented a session entitled “Electronic Media”, focusing on digital content creation skills and methods of dealing with modern media platforms.


     In the third session, media professional Khalid Al Zadjali reviewed the development of the Omani media view and highlighted the importance of the media coordinator’s role in strengthening institutional communication. The sessions concluded with a session entitled “Professional Media Photography”, given by Issa Al Raisi, a photographer at the Oman News Agency, which focused on the fundamentals of press photography and documenting official events.


     The forum’s activities continued on the second and third days through field visits to Oman Newspaper and Muscat FM Radio, to enhance the practical aspect for participants, familiarise them with newspaper and radio work mechanisms, and linking theoretical concepts with practical field application. This contributes to advancing media coordination skills and improving communication efficiency with various media institutions.

     This forum aims to enhance media content, develop skills in managing media messages and producing digital content, and strengthen professional relations with media institutions. Thereby supporting the institutional presence of Muscat Governorate and keeping pace with the requirements of modern media.
