Social Development Committee in Muscat Follows Up on Community Initiatives

The Social Development Committee in Muscat held a meeting today (Monday), chaired by His Excellency Ali bin Saeed Al Saidi, Wali of Muscat and Head of the Committee, as part of efforts to follow up on community initiatives and projects.
During this meeting, the committee reviewed achievements regarding the previous meeting`s recommendations and highlighted advances in implementing numerous initiatives and programmes to benefit society and boost voluntary work.
The committee discussed regulations regarding the internal system of volunteer teams and development options to meet the current requirements. Furthermore, it outlined the necessary procedures for reconstituting the team’s board of directors during the coming period. Thereby, this boosts institutional performance efficiency and supports continuance of community work and its impact.
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development praised the Committee’s efforts, appreciating its role in supporting and implementing community projects. As well as, achieving tangible results that contribute to motivating voluntarism and strengthening community involvement.
