As part of its support for student cultural activities and developing dialogue and critical thinking skills, the Wali of Bawshar Office engaged in conducting the “Madar Dawhat Al-Adab” forum. The Deputy Wali, Saud bin Hemiar Al Malik, attended the event along with numerous students and participants from various schools.
The programme featured a student-led discussion session that addressed a cultural topic interactively. As well as, various literary sections including readings, quotations, and free expression. This provided students with the opportunity to highlight their talents and engage with their partners. The forum experienced joint involvement between students from Dawhat Al-Adab School and Jabir bin Zaid School, thus boosting the exchange of ideas and experiences among them. An open discussion space was provided for questions and dialogue, contributing to enriching the conversation and participation.
The forum comprised an accompanying exhibition including several sections, most remarkably, the Student Parliament, citizenship and national identity, tangible and intangible heritage, and world heritage. Besides, a section highlighting Oman’s historical relations with Africa and Zanzibar. The exhibition introduced a science corner, a virtual laboratory and computerised microscope, information on scholarship destinations, a French section. Furthermore, an art workshop, a music corner, and a special technology section.
Conducting this forum forms the efforts of the Wali of Bawshar Office to support purposeful student activities. It aims to increase students’ perspectives and refine their intellectual abilities through a motivational and safe environment that gathers literature, discussion, and exchanging viewpoints. Thereby strengthening cultural and intellectual consciousness and contributing to advancing a conscious and creative generation.
