His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Said Al-Maamari, Wali of Mutrah, chaired the first meeting of the Parents’ Council, as part of efforts to strengthen the partnership between families and educational institutions and support the education.
During this meeting, provisions of implementing regulations regarding parents` councils were reviewed, discussing responsibilities and tasks of the Council’s three committees. Thus, it contributes to organising the council’s work and fulfilling its role.
The Council’s Committees include the Education Committee, which follows students’ academic progress, encourages parents’ involvement and enhances school performance. The Social Committee strengthens links with the community and organises societal activities and programmes; and the Finance Committee, which oversights donations and expenditures and ensures transparency within the Council’s resources management.
During this meeting, these committees consisting of Council members were formed, and upcoming meetings were scheduled to continue work and implement relevant plans and programmes.
