Bawshar Hosts Second Round of the His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup Football Tournament

        The accompanying events of His Majesty the Sultan’s Football Cup`s final continue, as the precious cup carries on its tour around wilayats. Having kicked off in Mutrah, toured the Mutrah Souq, passed alongside the beach, reached Fort. Second round settled in Bawshar, amidst celebration and community interaction. 

  • The Official Inauguration Cultural and Student Scenes Celebrating the Cup

        The Cup tour in Bawshar began with official reception at the Wali of Bawshar Office, attended by His Excellency Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Wali of Bawshar, numerous sheikhs, dignitaries, notables, citizens and sports enthusiasts.  

        This event commenced with the Royal Anthem, followed by musical performances by the Scout Band of the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides. A procession of camels carried the precious cup, performing traditional Omani folk songs that reflect Omani heritage. 

     The Cup was greeted with great celebration by scouts at the second stop on the Cup`s tour at Al-Muhanna bin Sultan School. The students performed a football skills display, and the final of the inter-class school league took place. 

  • A Humanitarian Initiative at Al-Amal School for the Deaf and Dumb and the Oncology Department at the Royal Hospital

        The Scout Band welcomed Cup`s tour at Al Amal School for the Deaf and Dumb. A corner was arranged to display the cup and take memorable photographs. The school management honoured its arrival by presenting three artistic, sporting and maritime displays on the School stage. Whilst the school courtyard provided a space for commemorative photographs. 

       During the fourth round, the cup toured the Oncology Ward at the Royal Hospital, accompanied by numerous national team players, distributing gifts to patients and photographing memorable moments. 

  • From Bayt Al Falaj to Al Ghubra Beach and Bawshar Club… The Tour celebrates place and people 

       The cup was welcomed at its fifth stop in Bayt Al-Falaj with a procession of horses, touring various parts, accompanying special performances by folkloric arts groups. Additionally, photo shoots and media interviews with attendees.
       The Cup Tour arrived at Al Ghubra Beach Park, where paragliding displays by Muscat Paragliding Team. The Cup tour continued on fishing boats, coinciding with performances by marine folk art teams and water sports cycling displays. 
       The tour concluded its seventh stop at the Bawshar Club, featuring a football skills display by the Football Academy, then a friendly match. A motorbike procession transported the cup between stops, concluding the tour to great popular celebration.  

  • Wali of Bawshar: The Cup Tour Promotes Community Engagement and Institutional Integration

      His Excellency Ahmed bin Hilal Al-Busaidi, Wali of Bawshar, expressed his pleasure at hosting the Cup Tour in Bawshar. He emphasised that hosting the final match in Muscat Governorate achieves numerous sporting, cultural and community objectives, and highlights the tourism and development potential. As well as, the remarkable progress achieved during the prosperous reign of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said – may Allah preserve and protect him. 
      His Excellency stated: "We share a clear division of roles and missions with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and the Main Committee organising the precious cup`s final, joining efforts to organise this precious competition, which has great national significance for the loyal citizens."  
        He added: "The Cup Tour in Bawshar successfully created an effective community response and promoted this precious competition. The tour’s stops strengthen community ties through visits to Al-Amal School for the Deaf and Dumb, and the Al-Mahna Bin Sultan School. As well as, highlighting sea beauty at Al-Ghubra Beach, a popular destination for visitors, and ending the tour at the Bawshar Club, a sports organisation for the youth.”  
      His Excellency continued: “Each wilayat has its unique geographical character, promising tourism and economic potential, and advanced infrastructure. The Cup Tour highlighted these assets and successful achievements under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.” 
      HE Wali concluded by inviting the public to take part in the activities at the Supporters` Village in Sahat Al Khuwair. He hoped for high turnout at final match and that the two finalists, Oman Club and Al-Nahda Club, deliver outstanding performances befit this occasion.
