The Health Committee in Bawshar held its first meeting in 2026, chaired by His Excellency Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Wali of Bawshar. During this meeting, members reviewed the achievements of the first quarter and discussed a range of health initiatives planned for implementation during the coming period.
The committee`s agenda discussed numerous preventive and awareness-raising initiatives. The most prominent are the awareness campaign for pre-marital medical examinations, launching the breast cancer early detection bus targeting society groups. Thus, it boosts early detection chances. As well as, the ‘Your Health in Ramadan’ programme that fulfils the health requirements of individuals during Ramadan, and the ‘Take Care of Your Health’ health exhibition that provides an interactive platform to promote community health education. These initiatives are part of Bawshar’s approach to promoting prevention and health consciousness as key pillars to creating a healthy society.
