Addressing Team in Muscat Reviews Project Updates

The Addressing Team in Muscat held a meeting chaired by His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saidi, Wali of Muscat, to follow up on the latest developments in the National Addressing Project and implement teams` works within wilayats.
During this meeting, the addressing project and objectives were introduced. As well as, relevant entities and their roles in fulfilling the approved plan. The team`s working and implementing steps were outlined to ensure consistency among relevant entities and accelerate progress according to accredited standards.
Forming working groups to study the suggested names for street addresses was also emphasised, working to add new titles consistent with the identity, history and culture of each wilayat. Thereby boosting cultural values and preserving local heritage.
The unified addressing system advances spatial digital transformation in Oman through standardising street names and linking a central database to government applications. This facilitates public and private sector services and contributes to urban planning and decision-making based on accurate data.
