Wali of Bawshar Office Arranges A Clean-Up Campaign of Bawshar Beach as Part of the ‘Our Beaches, Our Responsibility’ Initiative

The Wali of Bawshar Office arranged a clean-up campaign today (Tuesday) for Azaiba Beach in Bawshar, as part of the community initiative ‘Our Beaches, Our Responsibility’, in collaboration with the ‘Masir and Ataa’ platform, the Ministry of Health, the Royal Oman Police, the Muscat Municipality, volunteer teams and community organisations, with the participation of volunteers.
This campaign aims to promote social responsibility, boost environmental consciousness among the community, and contribute to preserving beaches and public facilities. Thus, it supports national efforts to protect the environment, achieves sustainability, and strengthen positive environmental behaviour within society groups.

The campaign included cleaning the beach, green spaces and adjacent sandy areas, removing debris and waste, and placing it in special containers.
This initiative is part of a series of community activities carried out by the Wali of Bawshar Office in partnership with various entities, emphasising working together to serve society, boosting societal partnerships. As well as, the initiative raises awareness of preserving the marine environment, and promoting positive practices that contribute to protecting natural resources and enhancing the quality of life and cultural appearance of Bawshar.
Muscat Governorate conducts periodic clean-up campaigns throughout various wilayats. Thus raising environmental consciousness, strengthening efforts between government and private sectors, and developing a knowledgeable generation capable to contribute effectively to achieving environmental sustainability.
