Muscat Governorate Reviews Performance Indicators and Work Directions for 2026

Muscat Governorate today (Wednesday) reviewed its key objectives, directions and work plan for 2026. As well as, its institutional performance indicators for 2025, attended by numerous Governorate officials, as part of its efforts to boost performance efficiency and develop its institutional work system.
During the meeting, general performance evaluation for the governorate was discussed within the priorities of Oman Vision 2040, evaluation methodology and indicator values. Additionally, identifying key priorities for work during the current year and confirming greater institutional integration.

The general framework of the plan aims to enhance institutional performance efficiency through adopting a continuous improvement methodology, improving institutional indicators, advancing performance through aligning operational plans with performance indicators, and strengthening periodic monitoring and outcomes-based decision-making.
During the meeting, attendees discussed plans to launch specific initiatives at the institutional level that would have a sustainable developmental impact, contribute to achieving the strategic objectives of Muscat Governorate, promote integration between administrative divisions, and support the pillars of Oman Vision 2040, focusing on sustainability and maximising progressive impact.

During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including adopting institutional innovation as a sustainable working methodology, assessing human capital efficiency to identify specialised programmes, aligning competencies with job requirements and strategic objectives. Furthermore, developing plans based on assessment results to enhance institutional readiness and advance performance and sustainability.
This meeting is part of Muscat Governorate`s efforts to promote the principles of transparency, confidence and effective communication. Thereby supporting the advancement of institutional performance.
