Quriyat Celebrates First Mass Wedding Sponsored by the Governor of Muscat

His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, sponsored the first mass wedding ceremony in Quriyat as part of the “That You May Rest" initiative, where 112 grooms participated. The Wali of Quriyat Office in collaboration with the Quriyat Volunteer Team and the Quriyat Sports Club arranged this event. Numerous sheikhs and locals attended it.
This initiative implements the role of the Marriage Support Fund in Muscat Governorate. Thus contributing to supporting the youth getting married, reducing their financial burdens, and promoting cohesion value in Omani society. It reflects the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, may Allah protect and preserve him, to boost initiatives supporting the young and highlight the Marriage Support Fund and encourage people to benefit, confirmed by His Excellency Sheikh Talal bin Saif Al Hosni, Wali of Quriyat.
The celebration featured various performances expressing joy, including a presentation of Al-Azi Art and a marriage ceremony. As well as, a visual presentation illustrating the initiative`s purposes and social role to achieve stable and cohesive families.
Muscat Governorate, representing the Wali of Quriyat Office, praised the efforts of all contributors to this celebration success. They included the organising committees, companies, individuals, supporters, the Quriyat Volunteer Team, the Quriyat Sports Club, and various civil society institutions, for organising this occasion and displaying it honourably.
