Joint Meeting between the Wali of Quriyat Office and Consumer Protection Authority

His Excellency Sheikh Talal bin Saif Al Hosani, Wali of Quriyat, chaired a joint meeting between the Wali of Quriyat Office and the Consumer Protection Authority. The Director General of the General Directorate of Muscat Municipality in Quriyat, and members of the Shura and Municipal Councils representing the Wilayat attended it.
During the meeting, the Authority delivered a visual presentation regarding its field works, the inspection and supervision campaigns implemented on various stores and commercial establishments. As well as, the most remarkable violations and measures to boost market commitment to applicable laws and regulations. The Authority`s efforts to raise consumer awareness and address complaints from local residents were discussed. Thus contributing to achieving safe market and promoting conscious consumption culture.
This meeting is part of a range of field visits conducted by the Consumer Protection Authority in various Omani wilayats, to highlight the Authority`s work, key indicators and programmes currently being implemented. Furthermore, discussing efforts to boost market monitoring and protect consumer rights.
