Parents’ Council in Muscat Discusses Boosting the Educational Progress

The Parents’ Council in Muscat held its first meeting this year, chaired by His Excellency Ali bin Said Al-Saeedi, Wali of Muscat and Head of the Council. This meeting aimed to draft a clear work plan for the upcoming period and boost parents as an effective partner in the educational progress.
During the meeting, the regulations of Parents’ Councils and the most recent amendments approved were introduced. Members were briefed on the regulatory articles and the key duties and responsibilities of the council within the education.

During the meeting, key committees were formed, including the Educational Committee, the Social Committee, and the Financial Committee, as part of distributing roles and promoting member participation. Each committee’s functions and their supporting initiatives and projects regarding schools, students, and parents were reviewed.
The council discussed numerous educational priorities of the current year. They included enhancing communication between schools and families, increasing community engagement, and implementing initiatives that contribute to improving the school environment and enhancing educational outcomes.
