Social Development Committee in Muscat holds Fourth Meeting This Year

The Social Development Committee in Muscat held its fourth meeting in 2025, chaired by His Excellency Ali bin Said bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Wali of Muscat and Committee Head, and attended by Committee members.
During the meeting, the minutes of the previous meeting, and speeches regarding implementing the Jood platform and its services to support community efforts were reviewed. As well as, the General Directorate of Social Development in Muscat Governorate relating to the beneficiaries of community programmes was discussed.
The report of the Muscat Charity Team was presented. Additionally, requests for assistance from the Social Development Department in Muscat, as part of efforts to support societal initiatives and boost social cohesion.
Social development committees play a role in fulfilling the society`s requirements and boosting effective partnership between government entities and the local community through supporting voluntary initiatives, empowering Omani women associations, and optimising the standard of living for individuals and families. Thus, it contributes to enhancing the quality of life and promoting value of social cohesion.
