Muscat Governorate honours the Winners of the Best Service Institution Award

Within the framework of promoting institutional excellence and motivating entities to enhance the performance efficiency and quality of government services, Muscat Governorate organised a ceremony to honour the best service institutions in Muscat Governorate in 2024, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour today Tuesday. His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al -Humaidi, Head of Muscat Municipality sponsored this ceremony, and several officials and representatives of government entities attended it.
The honouring included entities that achieved the highest excellence in providing government services within Muscat Governorate, according to a comprehensive evaluation including performance indicators, working efficiency, and beneficiaries` satisfaction questionnaires. The awarded entities were the following, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources, the National Museum, Al Amal Club - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, Ministry of Education, the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, and Consumer Protection Authority.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Humaidi, Head of Muscat Municipality, explained that this recognition represents sincere efforts and reflects the keenness of institutions` keenness to provide a service appropriate for citizens and residents, according to a system of quality and institutional excellence. He noted that the recognised entities are models of performance, as they have successfully achieved high beneficiaries` satisfaction, and confirmed that excellence of service is a daily practice resulting from the culture of continuous learning in the work environment.
His Excellency also stated that Muscat Governorate, as part of the decentralisation directives and strengthening the governorates` roles, monitors the services quality and supervises the implementation of development plans through participation in evaluating the performance of service providers in coordination with the relevant entities to achieve efforts consistent with the priorities of Oman`s Vision 2040. He also confirmed that Muscat Governorate appreciates the honoured entities for their efficient commitment to institutional work methodologies and the culture of sustainable improvement.
The Muscat Governorate appreciates the efforts of the honourable government entities, confirming the significance of sharing successful experiences and working to improve government performance to meet the purposes of Oman Vision 2040 for an effective government sector and quality services that fulfil the aspirations of society.
