Mutrah honours Educational Achievers at Academic Year`s Conclusion

The Parents’ Council in Mutrah arranged a ceremony today (Tuesday) to honour the administrative and teaching staff and glorious students and their parents. It was attended by His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Said Al Mamari, Wali of Mutrah, a group of Their Excellencies, members of the Parents‘ Council, school principals, administrative and teaching staff, excellent students and their parents.
This ceremony appreciates educators` efforts in the educational field, recognising the excellent students’ achievements and motivating them to achieve excellently and generously in their educational progress. 124 educators and students were honoured, while 95 students participated in the ceremony programmes.
The ceremony featured various performances that reflected the talents and creativity of the students. It included the welcoming panel, the operetta ‘Monuments of Knowledge in Mutrah’, a musical performance, the poem ‘Be Excellent’ that reflected the spirit of excellence and ambition, and the honourees` speech delivered by Ms. Najma bint Joul Mohammed Al Balushi.
In closing the ceremony, His Excellency the sponsor recognised the honoured teachers, administrators and students to appreciate their efforts during the academic year.
The poet Mr. Mahmoud bin Hamoud Al-Maashari, a ceremony’s organiser and a participant in several poems, including the operetta and the poem ‘Be Excellent’, praised the joint efforts of the work team consisting of school principals and teachers. He confirmed that coordination and accurate following up between the various entities contributed to directing the event remarkably and uniquely. It reflects the cooperation between educational institutions and the local community.
