Muscat Governorate conducts a Training Programme to Develop Administrative and Behavioural Skills

Within its plan to improve the staff`s efficiency and institutional performance, Muscat Governorate, representing the Human Resources Department, conducted a training programme entitled ‘Administrative and Behavioural Skills Development’ from 25 to 29 May at LPI`s headquarters. Dr. Majdi Ahmed Jouda, a consultant trainer and expert certified by the American Institute of Professional Education (A.I.P.S.), delivered it.

This programme targeted executive employees in the governorate, to provide them the knowledge and the required practical skills to enhance their performance and ability to deal with the requirements of administrative work efficiently and effectively.
The programme focuses on several major topics. They include developing coordination and following-up skills, applying the comprehensive quality in institutional performance, managing priorities and tasks within work pressures, dealing with time wasters and daily obstacles, and basic behavioural skills in work environment. As well as effective communication, addressing various personality types, administrative writing, drafting reports and official correspondences professionally, reviewing and applying Microsoft Office software as supportive implements to develop performance such as Word, Outlook and Thinking Maps.

This programme implementation reflects Muscat Governorate`s efforts to develop the executive staff`s abilities using modern work methods to achieve the administrative development purposes and quality of the offered services.
