Wali of Muscat Discusses Tourism Services Development in Al Khiran EcoZone in Muscat Governorate

To promote eco-tourism in Muscat Governorate, His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saidi, Wali of Muscat, met with the Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and representatives of relevant entities to discuss a project to provide consultancy services to develop public services in Al Khairan, a prominent eco-tourism site in the governorate.
During the meeting, the future vision to develop the area according to its classification by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism as a public eco-tourism site was reviewed, for its unique natural resources. They include the biodiversity of coral reefs and marine life. As well as, rock formations and components, that offer a unique attractiveness and ecological feature.
Preparing a comprehensive development plan that includes establishing tourism facilities and improving infrastructure was confirmed, preserving the natural environment and promoting sustainability concepts. Thus, contributing to creating Al Khiran an attractive destination for eco-tourism in Oman.
