Sea Traditions in Seeb discusses Fishermen`s Requirements

His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali bin Hamdan Al Shehhi, Wali Al Seeb, the Head of the Sea Traditions Committee, chaired the first meeting of the committee in 2025, to discuss several topics on its agenda.
During the meeting, fishermen’s requirements, requesting a marine park. As well as, reviewing proposals that contribute to improving the marine fishing profession and offering a safe and sustainable working environment to fishermen, were discussed.
The Committee concluded several recommendations to support the fisheries sector, keeping pace with the sector’s developments, preserving the maritime heritage, and enhancing efforts to achieve the sustainability of marine resources.
This meeting reflects the committee`s commitment to pursuing fishermen`s issues and discussing the challenges’ solutions they face, to achieve sustainable local development in Seeb
