Sea Traditions Committee discusses Fisheries Projects in Quriyat

His Excellency Sheikh Talal bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Hosani, Wali of Quriyat and Chairman of the Sea Traditions Committee, today (Tuesday) chaired the Committee`s second meeting at the meeting hall of the Department of Fisheries Development in Quriyat. The committee members, representatives of relevant government entities and specialists in the fisheries sector, attended it.
During the meeting, several topics associated with developing the fisheries sector in Quriyat were discussed, including the stable landing pier project at the marine fishing port, tenders regarding piers. As well as, several issues of interest to fishermen such aslicences and organising nets use, and launching a tender for the private sector to invest and work the Fish Market.
This meeting is part of the implemented meetings by the local committee to develop and regulate the fisheries sector, support fishermen and promote the utilisation of marinere sources to benefit the public interest and achieve sustainable development of fisheries sector in Quriyat.
