Wali of Muscat discusses Establishing Decentralised Drainage Stations

The Wali of Muscat Office held a meeting chaired by His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saidi, Wali of Muscat. Several notables and sheikhs, and representatives from Nama Water Services and Industrial Metals Company attended this meeting, to discuss the decentralised wastewater treatment stations project in Yenkit, Sifat Al Sheikh and Al Harathiin Muscat.
The working of decentralised wastewater treatment stations, their technical specifications, their operational efficiency in processing water, and potential benefiting from the processed water for non-drinkable purposes were reviewed.
The period to implement the project, the main challenges facing the implementation stages were discussed. As well as, the role of the concerned entities in simplifying procedures and efforts to promote wastewater services and environmental sustainability in Muscat.
This project reflects the government`s efforts to develop infrastructure in residential districts and raise the efficiency of drainage systems according to the highest health and environmental standards. Thus, enhancing the quality of life of citizens and residents
