‘Together in Mutrah for Sustainable Health’ initiative

Within the framework of strengthening cooperation and partnership between the Mutrah Health Committee and health sector institutions in Muscat Governorate, His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Saeed AlMamari, Wali of Mutrah, held a meeting with representatives of several private health institutions. It aimed to discuss enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors to face emergency and exceptional situations and improve the health services to the community.
During the meeting, a health initiative entitled ‘Together in Mutrah for Sustainable Health’ was announced to promote collaboration between government and private entities to achieve sustainable health objectives in Mutrah. This initiative includes awareness programmes to support health campaigns conducted by the Ministry of Health, such aspre-marriage screening, anti-smoking and reducing the narcotics and psychotropic substances.
His Excellency the Wali highlighted the important complementary role of private health institutions to support the government health system. Thus, contributing to offer efficient and integrated medical services to the society.
