Wali of Seeb discusses Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises

His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali bin Hamdan Al Shehhi, Wali of Seeb, chaired a coordinating meeting with the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the governmental efforts (by Muscat Governorate) to enhance the local economy and provide job opportunities. This meeting discussed promoting cooperation between both public and private sectors and creating new investment opportunities in small and medium enterprises in Seeb to employ productive families and solve the job seekers’ issue.
The committee reviewed various national initiatives to support this group, including the partnership with major companies in Oman to provide financing, training and guidance. The wali confirmed the role of the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee to achieve sustainable development, stressing the implementation of effective initiatives that create an attractive investment environment. He encouraged the relevant entities to work as a team to cooperate and achieve common purposes that would support the community and productive families.
