Muscat Governorate celebrates the fifth Anniversary of His Majesty the Sultan`s Accession to Power by organising a Maritime March

To honour the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq`s accession to the power, Muscat Governorate will organise a yacht, boat and jet ski march on Friday, in cooperation with several government and private entities, under the sponsorship of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.
This march expresses pride in the achievements accomplished during the reign of His Majesty the Sultan and the progress the Sultanate of Oman has achieved in various developmental, economic and social fields. It provides a unique experience that combines entertainment and celebration of maritime heritage, and promotes local tourism.
The event will start at 9am from Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort and will run until 5pm. The march will include exciting marine displays using water scooters and flyboards, aswell as Omani cultural arts that will create a wonderful heritage spirit. Participants will also receive a detailed explanation of the march route and accompanying events.
The route includes special stations, such as Marina Bandar Al Rowdha in Muscat, where participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning natural views and take memorial photos. The march will continue through Mutrah Waterfront, Sultan Qaboos Port and Al Qurum Beach, with visual presentations that highlight Mutrah`s history and great maritime heritage. The march will conclude at Al Mouj Marina Muscat in Seeb, where boats, yachts and jet skis will form a marvelous maritime scenery that reflects the beauty of Muscat`s coasts and combines it with patriotic passions.
