His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, sponsored the inauguration of the lease contracts service on the Oman Business Platform today(Monday), which was attended by Their Excellencies, members of the Municipal Council and a number of officials from relevant entities.
The inauguration was part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Muscat Municipality, in line with Oman Vision 2040. It aimed to achieve an integrated digital economy and enhance digital transformation in various vital sectors, through the implementation of the National Strategy for Oman`s Digital Society and E-Government.
The services included the lease contracts service, which facilitates the contracts’ documentation electronically through one integrated gateway, to reduce effort and time for the beneficiaries. The Financial Reporting Service was officially launched, which enables companies and organisations to submit their financial data electronically. Thereby, improving organisational performance. As well as, the inauguration of the Trade Names Interactive Guide, an innovative methodthat speeds up the selection and registration of trade names for companies, according to modern technological developments.
The Oman Business Platform is a pioneering government initiative that enhances the business environment in Oman by offering an integrated system of E-services. The platform allows investors and business owners to interact with government entities through inclusive gateway, from the companies’ establishment and gaining the required licenses to the submission of annual financial reports.
This project comes within the framework of the National Digital Transformation Plan, which relies on an integrative approach that enhances cooperation between various government entities to achieve sustainable development purposes. It also improves the efficiency of services for businesses, which contributes to attract investments and develop the national economy.
