His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Muscat Governor, met today with their Excellencies walis, several officials and relevant individuals to discuss the Muscat Governorate`s plan for 2025, within the framework of efforts to achieve the development purposes of Oman Vision 2040.
The meeting reviewed aspects of the Muscat Governorate general plan, developmental and service purposes and aspirations, with a focus on services and infrastructure improvement and the enhancement of the governorate`s economic and tourism fields. It discussed the roles of administrative divisions and their national priorities. Additionally, an introduction to the Oman Vision 2024 targets` cardand its relevancy to the governorate`s purposes and general direction.
The meeting highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the various entities, and the main role of the walis` offices to implement the General Plan and achieve the sustainable development objectives. As well as, encouraging community initiatives that support development efforts, and enhance the committees` role that work together with the walis` offices in offering innovative solutions to face local challenges.
This meeting comes within the framework of continuous efforts to promote sustainable development in Muscat Governorate and ensure the roles` integration between various entities to achieve the planned objectives and follow up on the implementing plans.
