Within the Muscat Governorate`s efforts to enhance the social and humanitarian role, HE Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Mamari, Mutrah wali, visited the headquarters of the Zakat and Charity Committee in Mutrah to review the work and discuss the committee’s future plans.
During his inspective tour, His Excellency listened to a detailed explanation about there gistration’s cases worthy of Zakat and Sadaqas, and how to deal with the requests submitted by needy families. The efforts done to accurately evaluate the beneficiaries’ situations were reviewed, in order to ensure that aids reach the neediest groups in a transparently and fairly. Mutrah wali was introduced to the plans that the committee will implement in the future in order to improve the offered services and increase charitable work. They also discussed the challenges that face the committee and their solutions through enhancing cooperation between government and private entities. Thus, it supports the committee`s efforts and increase beneficiaries.
His Excellency emphasized the joint work between various government and community entities tosupport worthy groups and provide them with welfare life. He praised the Zakat Committee’s efforts in aids’ distribution fairly, which contributes to achieve social fairness and enhance social cohesion. This visit reflects the Muttrah Wali Office’s interest in activating cooperation between various sectors to support the needy and promote charitable work in the community.
