Muscat Parents’ Council reviews the achievements of the previous year and develops a plan for the academic year 2024/2025

The Muscat Parents` Council held its regular meeting on Monday. His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saidi, Muscat wali, chaired it. It aims to discuss the previous academic year 2023/2024 achievements and review the work plan proposal for the current academic year 2024/2025.
The meeting also discussed proposals for the future plan, which includes a program preparation to visit schools in Muscat to review the offered services and identify each school’s requests to develop the educational environment and improve the facilities that are available to students and teachers. Through these visits, the Council pursues to identify the challenges that are faced by schools and work to solve them in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
In a related context, the wali stressed the need for joint community efforts to preserve the students’ safety. He emphasized the combating the substances and E-cigarettes that have begun to appear among young people and the necessity for the community and parents to unify to face these challenges. These are through awareness increase among students and youth about the health and social risks, and positive values and healthy practices’ encouragement.
