Muscat Governorate concludes ‘Second Grade Leaders’ Program and launches ‘Future Leaders’ for Department Heads

Muscat Governorate has concluded the five-day ‘LeadershipDevelopment for Second-Level Leaders’ program, which aimed to equipparticipants with basic leadership skills that will enable them to improveorganizational performance and contribute to achieving strategic goalsefficiently. The program focused on main fields such as strategic planning,decision-making and effective communication. Additionally, developing theability to face real-life challenges in the work environment.
The program’spresenter, Dr. Mohammed bin Fayel Al Araimi, praised the pioneering role playedby Muscat Governorate in developing and building the human element, noting thatthese programs are according to the strategic directions of Oman Vision 2040,which aims to prepare national leaders equipped with the modern leadershipskills. Al Araimi stressed the positive interaction of the participants withall the themes of the program, especially with regard to the development ofcreative and innovative capabilities, which enhances their ability to adapt tochanges and future opportunities to achieve competitive excellence.
Dr Al Araimioffered many advices to the participants, most notably the need to continuelearning and self-development, seek to expand knowledge in the fields ofadministrative leadership and apply what has been learnt in the workenvironment.
Marwa Al Qarniyasaid: “The course was enriching and valuable and contributed to our personaland organizational development, especially in understanding and accepting theopinions of others and developing sensitivity skills”. Nasser Al Dahmani saidthat the program enhanced leadership, planning and teamwork skills, noting itsrole in improving organizational performance and developing innovativestrategies to solve issues.
Mohammed AlHamidi praised his experience in the program, describing it as excellent, as hegained the skill of teamwork with a focus on joint decision-making. Heexplained that these skills will greatly improve his performance in severalareas, including organizing work, making decisions related to daily tasks, andgenerating innovative ideas.
For his part,Khalil Al Balushi emphasized that the content was presented in a distinctiveway and varied between the theoretical and practical aspects, making theexperience comprehensive and easy. He stated that he gained basic skills, suchas strategic thinking, making decisions with confidence, and developingeffective communication skills. “‘These skills will help me improve myperformance in the work environment, facilitate communication with my team, aswell as improve time and task management, which will reflect positively on theorganization efficiency”.
At the program’send, the participating employees were honoured for their commitment and activeparticipation throughout the training period. This honour comes as a praise fortheir efforts in acquiring leadership skills that will contribute to enhancingorganizational performance and developing work methods within theirorganizations.
To continue theleadership efficiencies’ development, the ‘Future Leaders’ program, targetingdepartment heads in Muscat Governorate, starts today (Sunday). The programcontinues until Thursday and aims to equip leaders with advanced skills thatenhance their ability to manage their teams and develop effective strategies toachieve organizational purposes. These programs reflect the governorate`scommitment to investing in human resources and creating a new generation ofleaders able to lead organizations into a prosperous future, according to theaspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
