As part of its continuous effort to enhance health services and increase the offered health care’s quality. Today (Tuesday), the Health Committee in Muscat held its second meeting in 2024, headed by His Excellency Ali bin Said Al Saeedi, Muscat wali. During the meeting, several related topics to health services’ development in the wilayat were discussed.
During the meeting, Dr. Fayrouz bint Ahmed Al Kathiri presented a summary of the offered health services in Muscat wilayat, the most noticeable health indicators and achievements of the Committee during the first half of 2024. She noted that the committee recorded more than 10,000volunteer hours, with 24 health volunteers trained.
The meeting reviewed the health plan for this year’s second half, which includes the “Your Health Stations in Your Hands” initiative. This initiative targets government and private institutions to hold exhibitions that aimed to introduce the Ministry of Health’s programs and provide field medical examinations.
In a related context, Dr. Falah Al Ruqaishi, general doctor at Muscat Health Center, discussed the importance of travel medicine services and genetic counseling, especially to people who will get married.
It is worth noting that Muscat includes three government health institutions. They are Muscat Health Center, Yiti Health Center, and Sifah Health Center. The visits to these centers until the first half of this year reached 33,540 visits.
