Within encouraging excellent students, and in recognition of the investing in the youth energies as an essential keystone to construct the nation’s future. Today, Wednesday, Muscat Governorate, in cooperation with State Office of Education at Ministry of Education of Muscat Governorate organized a ceremony to honour excellent students in the General Education Diploma for the academic year 2023/2024. It was at the Dawhat Al Adab Theater under the sponsorship of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Muscat governor, and in the presence of the students’ parents.
The ceremony began with a speech delivered by the honoured students, in which they expressed their thanks and appreciation for this generous gesture, considering that this honour constitutes a motivation to continue achievements. The ceremony included a visual presentation entitled “Spirit for the Summit,” which reviewed the most important students’ achievements during the academic year. Additionally, presenting musical pieces that added a unique theme to the event.
During the ceremony, 31 students were honoured who achieved percentages of more than 99% in the General Education Diploma and its equivalent from public and private schools(bilingual) and Islamic institutes. It recognizes their great efforts that reflect the scientific excellence of the Muscat Governorate’s people.
This ceremony’s organization confirms Muscat Governorate’s commitment to appreciate and support excellent people, and motivate them to effort and perseverance. The governorate also praised the great role of teachers and parents to support these students to accomplish this achievement.
Muscat Governorate is proud of its students, as they are the nation’s wealth and its future mainstay. It expresses its ambition to see these young people in leadership positions through which they contribute to construct a bright future of Oman.
