Process and procedures documentation Project Team in Muscat Governorate holds its First Meeting

    An implementation of the magnificent speech ofHis Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq -may Allah protect and preserve him-regarding to simplify procedures and performance governance to guarantee arrangementwith the requirements of Oman Vision 2040 and its purposes. Today, Wednesday,the Processes and Procedures Documentation Project team held its first meeting,headed by Salim bin Hamad Al Hasani, Assistant Director General forAdministrative and Financial Affairs - Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on theDigital Transformation Program in Muscat Governorate - and in the presence ofteam members and several support experts from the Ministry of Labour. 

      Khadija bint Masoud Al-Tubi, Assistant Director Generalfor Development and Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Labour, presented avisual presentation in which she explained the Ministry of Labour’s role insupport’s offer to the units of the state’s administrative body. It, whichwould enhance efforts and directions that aimed to develop and improveinstitutional proficiency systems, and increasing the satisfaction’s level ofcustomers and beneficiaries with administrative processes and procedures. Aswell as, illustration the role of senior management in implementing thedocumenting institutional procedures and their governance’s process. Besides,addressing the documenting processes and procedures’ importance. Al-Tawbireferred to that the documenting procedures’ process enhances transparency inadministrative work. It enables all concerned authorities to know the necessarysteps and procedures for any administrative process, which will govern andreview administrative work.  In addition,authenticating procedures helps explain responsibilities and hold concernedauthorities accountable when any fault occurs within the administrativeprocess.

     The meeting also included an open discussion between teammembers and specialists at the Ministry of Labour about the importance of theprocess’s preparation of inventorying administrative procedures and processesin Muscat Governorate within appropriate determinants and indicators,discussion of the relationship between various administrative processes andprocedures, and implementing best administrative practices. This simplify theseprocedures’ governance and their unification among the various administrativedivisions in Muscat Governorate.




      Salim bin Hamad Al Hasani - Team Head of the Processesand Procedures Documentation Project - explained that this project is one ofthe digital transformation projects in Muscat Governorate. It is responsiblefor setting the general outline for the executive plan to document processesand procedures, including analyzing the competencies of the administrativedivisions of the organizational structure. Additionally, identifying,standardizing, and documenting processes and procedures in coordination withspecialists at the Ministry of Labour. In the next stage, several trainingworkshops will be held for team members in coordination with the Ministry ofLabour. During the coming period, a meeting will be held with the governorate’ssenior management to ensure that the team’s competencies and tasks are optimallyachieved.
