Muscat Governorate continues to hold a series of integrative meetingsbetween the municipal sector, walis’ offices, and the local community. WhereHis Excellency Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Bawshar wali, met with specialistsin Muscat Municipality, in the presence of the Wali Deputy, the Shura andMunicipal Councils’ members, the representatives of the wilayat.
The meeting aims to review the projects of Muscat Municipality’s annualplan for 2024 according to the programs of the Tenth Development Plan2021-2025. Muscat Municipality specialists presented a visual presentation thatthe most noticeable projects approved for implementation in Bawshar accordingto the annual plan of the current year, its implementation position in thefirst quarterly quarter and the annual target to be achieved were reviewed. Themeeting also included a discussion about these projects, where the Shura andmunicipal councils’ members, representatives, sheikhs, and heads expressedtheir observations and questions about these projects. Explaining Bawshar’s mostnoticeable needs for municipal services and emphasizing these meetings’ importancein involvement them in the wilayat’s development plans.
It is worth noting that these visits aim to achieve effective communicationbetween Their Excellencies the walis’ offices and the municipality, and to enhancelocal community members’ participation in development plans in the wilayats. Itaims to achieve the priority of sustainable governorates and cities’development in Oman Vision 2040.
