Today, Wednesday, the Muscat State Health Committee in Muscat wilayat held its first meeting of this year. It aims to discuss the wilayat’s health plan for the year 2024, the meeting was chaired by His Excellency Ali bin Saeed Al Saidi, Muscat wali.
A summary of the wilayat`s health services, the most important healthy points, and committee’s achievements in 2023 were discussed at the meeting. Additionally, the topic of awareness about combating the Aedes mosquito.
During the meeting, the projects that are implemented in Muscat in 2023 were reviewed. For example, “Check and Comfort” field project, “For your health, we meet and develop” health forum, and “Your health is worthy” forum; in cooperation with the Omani Women Association. As well as, the health train “Your Health in Ramadan” in Muscat schools.
The committee pursues to continue training young volunteer teams to serve the community for “Muscat Charity Team”. There are 17 health volunteers currently.
The number of team’s volunteer hours reached 2,000 volunteer hours. Additionally, targeting governmental and non-governmental institutions via establishment of the “Your Health is in Your Hands” fair.
