Muscat Governor meets with the Consumer Protection Authority’s Chairman

Within the framework of purposeful annual meetings between heads of service units and governors. In the presence of His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Humaidi, chairman of Muscat Municipality, and many officials from the governorate and the authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Governor of Muscat welcomed the Head of Consumer Protection and the attendees. Emphasizing the importance of the meeting in discussing issues that are related to consumer protection and enhancing the integration of roles between the governorate and the authority. It aims to achieve consumer satisfaction with services.
The meeting included a visual presentation on the Consumer Protection Authority’s specializations, the most prominent powers granted to the authority’s divisions in the governorates, the importance of strengthening the complementary role between the Authority and various government institutions in the governorate to serve the public interest, and The Authority’s efforts to monitor and follow up on the markets. During the meeting, the Authority’s initiatives were reviewed. A number of awareness campaigns have been worked on and their topics have been identified. Based on the current trends and intensifying awareness messages in several topics to create a safe consumer environment for everyone.
His Excellency the Governor of Muscat praised the great efforts that are done by the Consumer Protection Authority in helping the community and confronting negative phenomena that threaten consumer health and safety.
