First University Guidance Forum in Quriyat promotes Academic and Career Planning

The Department of Career Guidance and Student Counselling, representing the Department of Career Guidance, at the Wali of Quriyat Office, conducted the First University Counselling Forum, entitled “Your Portal to Success”, organised. It was sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Talal bin Saif Al Hosani, Wali of Quriyat.
This forum targeted students in grades10th, 11th and 12th, parents and people interested in the higher education field. It aimed to promote awareness of early career and academic planning and choosing future courses.
This programme included welcoming paragraphs, followed by a speech delivered by the Head of the Career Guidance Department. She highlighted the significance of creating a conscious generation able to make well-informed decisions regarding their academic and professional futures, referring to career guidance`s role in achieving students` ambitions.
Representatives from government and private higher education institutions and colleges participated in the forum. They introduced the available programmes and specialisations, offering students the opportunity for direct interaction and inquiries.
This forum reflected a remarkable interaction between students and attendants, illustrating their awareness and interest in higher education opportunities and career planning. The forum comes within the efforts to promote the career guidance in schools and enhance the partnership between educational institutions and parents.
